The Only CDFE
that Activates Patients
to Make a Change

What Makes the Arche CDFE Different?
PATIENT EXPERIENCE
Patients are actively engaged in the exam improving health literacy and a deeper personal investment in their diabetes care. The result: patient adherence, the most elusive component in the prevention of wounds and amputations.
DATA THAT TELLS A STORY
This exam generates data related to all proven, modifiable risk factors associated with ulcers from diabetes.
Diagnostic Tools
The diagnostic tools required to collect, document and evaluate CDFE data are all included in the Arche LEAP Collaborative ‘Quick-Start Kit’.

Autonomic Neuropathy

Neuropad®
A device that objectively and visually detects sudomotor dysfunction (anhidrosis).

DermaStat®
A device that measures skin moisture levels and quickly displays digital results.
Sensory Neuropathy

VibraTip
A calibrated vibratory perception device. Compares to the 128HZ tuning fork.

Bailey 5.07 Monofilament
Used to identify loss of protective sensation.
Vascular Status

IRStat®
A device that uses infrared technology to identify contralateral temperature changes in the lower extremities.
Musculoskeletal

PressureStat®
A calibrated plantar pressure measuring device that identifies high areas of focal pressure, producing a visual “footprint” which is an integral part of a biomechanical assessment for the diabetic foot.

Brannock Device
A device used to measure a patient’s foot size.
Arche LEAP Captain
To ensure efficient use of the physician’s time associated with the Arche CDFE, the practice appoints an Arche LEAP Captain from among existing staff. The Arche LEAP Captain role is crucial and is heavily supported by Arche Healthcare.
